Why do I see "Installing starter dictionaries…"?
On a fresh extension install, YuzuLingo downloads English-meanings starter dictionaries in the background. Until the first one finishes, hover shows Installing starter dictionaries… instead of an empty-device hint.
Prerequisites
You just installed the extension for the first time on this browser profile.
Steps
Wait for the first import
- Japanese-to-English starters import first, then the rest of the English pack.
- After the first dictionary lands, lookups can use it while others finish.
Add more later
- Updates do not re-run auto-install.
- Use Settings → Dictionary to Add more catalog rows or your own zip.
