What's the difference between AnkiConnect and other export destinations?
Anki export talks to your local Anki via AnkiConnect (desktop Anki must be open). Other destinations (when enabled for your account) send cards to that partner’s service with their own keys and rules. All successful exports still share the same YuzuLingo daily export / library meters.
Prerequisites
Signed in on Settings → Export.
Steps
Anki + AnkiConnect
- Install and enable AnkiConnect in Anki.
- Create or pick the YuzuLingo starter deck / field map as in the Anki help articles.
- Compose media (sentence audio + screenshot) stays local to AnkiConnect.
Other destinations
- Enable a destination under Settings → Export when it appears in your catalog.
- Partner API keys and lists follow that destination’s setup — not AnkiConnect.
- Renshuu, jpdb, and similar adapters ship when those Phase C items land; until then, Anki is the primary path.
