What are subtitle readings in YuzuLingo?
Subtitle readings are small ruby labels above the recognized Interact text—furigana, pinyin, romanization, or IPA—so you can pronounce hardsubs without leaving the video. They are separate from dictionary popup readings and glosses.
Prerequisites
The extension is installed. You can add a zone on a video page.
Steps
Turn Interact on
- Add a zone over the hardsub line and turn on Interact.
- Check the language that matches the burned-in line.
Show readings
- Open the subtitle panel Settings → Readings. Turn on Furigana, Pinyin, Romanization, IPA, or Readings (the label depends on which reading languages are checked).
- Optionally change Reading system for that language.
