Pinyin with tone marks vs tone numbers
Pinyin (tone marks) puts tones on vowels (mā). Pinyin (tone numbers) appends 1–4 (or 5) after the syllable (ma1). Both are Reading system options when Chinese is checked.
Steps
Switch between them

- In the Chinese dropdown, pick Pinyin (tone marks) or Pinyin (tone numbers).
