How does OCR work on video in YuzuLingo?

YuzuLingo crops the pixels inside your zone in the browser and recognizes burned-in text there. Cover does not run OCR; Interact and Translate do. The main path stays on your device; we may retry a clearer read when the first pass misses.

Prerequisites

The extension is on a supported video page with a zone over the hardsub line.

Steps

What happens
- You place a zone over the burned-in line and pick Mode (Cover, Interact, or Translate).
- For Interact or Translate, the extension crops that rectangle from the player and runs recognition for the languages you selected.
- Accepted text appears on the video (when Show text is on) and in the subtitle panel.

What does not happen
- The full video file is not uploaded for the main recognition path.
- Cover only hides the line with blur or solid — it does not read text.
