How do I show pinyin on Chinese hardsubs?
Cover the Chinese line, turn on Interact, check Simplified and/or Traditional Chinese, then open the subtitle panel Settings → Readings and pick Pinyin (tone marks), Pinyin (tone numbers), or another system in the Chinese dropdown.
Prerequisites
A video with Chinese burned-in subtitles.
Steps
Enable Chinese Interact
- Turn on Interact and check Simplified Chinese and/or Traditional Chinese.
- Open the subtitle panel Settings → Readings. In the Chinese dropdown, pick Pinyin (tone marks) or another system.
