Does YuzuLingo upload my video to recognize subtitles?
No. Recognition starts from a crop of your zone in the browser. The video stream itself is not uploaded as a file for Cover or the main OCR path. Optional account, analytics, Translate, and Retry clearer-read paths are separate — see What does YuzuLingo send?

Steps
On the device
- Cover draws blur or solid locally.
- Interact OCR crops the zone and recognizes text primarily on the device.
When something may leave the device
- If a first on-device pass misses, we may retry a clearer read for that zone crop (not the whole video).
- Translate, export, and analytics use account or network paths documented in privacy help.
