YuzuLingo vs VideOCR (timminator)
YuzuLingo stays in the browser. You cover burned-in subtitles on the video you are already watching, including YouTube, Bilibili, and other web players. There is no desktop app to download and no video file to download. Turn on Interact to read the burned-in line on your device, with furigana or pinyin when the language has them. Show that text always, on hover, or while you hold a hotkey.
VideOCR is timminator’s app in the repo VideOCR, a fork of devmaxxing/videocr-PaddleOCR. You import a local video, draw a crop, and it writes an SRT. The default OCR is PaddleOCR on the device. Google Lens is optional and needs the internet. It runs on Windows and Linux, and the command-line build can run in Docker. They claim 200+ languages. Missing-space cleanup is only for English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, and French. Release v1.6.0. It does not cover a web video while it plays.
