YuzuLingo vs Anki-OCR (StckOverflow)
YuzuLingo stays in the browser. You cover burned-in subtitles on the video you are already watching, including YouTube, Bilibili, and other web players. There is no Anki desktop to set up. Turn on Interact to read the burned-in line on your device, with furigana or pinyin when the language has them. Show that text always, on hover, or while you hold a hotkey.
Anki-OCR is the add-on maintained by infinity7 and StckOverflow, in the repo Anki-OCR. The repo is not public. The description says it recognizes text from video screenshots and hardsubbed image cards in Anki. The setup list names Anki Desktop, the add-on, Tesseract 5 or the Mac OCR binaries, and ShareX or the Snipping Tool. The rows below follow that description. ShareX and the Snipping Tool are how you take the screenshot. The description does not say the add-on covers a video while it plays, or that it creates the card.
