YuzuLingo vs Hardsub-Extract-OCR (Furretar)
YuzuLingo stays in the browser. You cover burned-in subtitles on the video you are already watching, including YouTube, Bilibili, and other web players. There is no Python project to set up and no video file to download. Turn on Interact to read the burned-in line on your device, with furigana or pinyin when the language has them. Show that text always, on hover, or while you hold a hotkey.
Hardsub-Extract-OCR is Furretarās Windows setup in the repo Hardsub-Extract-OCR. You need Python 3.11 and VideoSubFinder. It cuts the burned-in line out of a local video, and Google Cloud Vision, through Chrome Lens Py, writes an SRT. The README says that file is for MPVacious and subs2srs, and the title says 99 percent accuracy. That is their claim. The README points at RapidVideOCR if you want the OCR on the device. The last commit was about three months ago, and there is no release. It does not cover a web video while it plays.
