YuzuLingo vs Subtitle Hider (Bennycopter)
YuzuLingo stays in the browser. You cover burned-in subtitles on the video you are already watching, and the zones come back on that website. There is no desktop app to download. Turn on Interact to read the burned-in line on your device, with furigana or pinyin when the language has them. Show that text always, on hover, or while you hold a hotkey.
Subtitle Hider is Bennycopter’s Windows program in the repo subtitle-hider. This is not the browser extension that uses the same name. You download the exe and double-click it. It puts one box on top of any window. The box can blur, or sit on black or white, and a click shows what is underneath. Release v1.0.1. The last update was about two years ago. It does not read the line.
