YuzuLingo vs Distill (Agions)
YuzuLingo covers burned-in subtitles on the video you are already watching, including YouTube, Bilibili, and other web players. You do not download the video. Turn on Interact to read the burned-in line on your device, with furigana or pinyin when the language has them. Show that text always, on hover, or while you hold a hotkey.
Distill is Agions’ desktop app in the repo Distill. You import a local video, draw or auto-find the hardsub area, and export SRT, VTT, or TXT. Offline OCR is Tesseract or ONNX. Cloud mode is Gemini or OpenAI Vision, and a cloud pass can proofread the text. It does not cover burned-in subtitles on a web player.
